Items denied

Yesterday (26 August 2021) i went to buy myself 2 Jeans at Markhams at Table Bay Mall, Cape Town. When I paid for the two items with my debit card, payment went through and got deducted from my balance and I have received the notifications, sms's as well as showed the lady that assisted me that it shows it went of my balance. She called Head office and was told that she shouldn't give my items as there would be a "short" on her till. Its the 27th and it still hasnt been reversed. I paid for items i was denied and received no assistance to satisfy my experience whatsoever.
