Great Customer Service/ Dispute resolved

I had a bit of an altercation, but it was easily resolved. The issue was simply a pricing discrepancy. I had my eye on a pair of Black and White Jonathan D shoes for my friend’s wedding in two months. I saw them on sale yesterday for R949, and when I visited Festival Mall this afternoon, my shoe size and the shoes were still marked at R949, including the box and the display shoe.

However, when I went to pay for them on my account, there was an unexpected price increase of R50 on the shoes, making my total R999, which was incorrect. According to the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), I am pleased to report that the staff members, Herolled and Vasta, were well-trained on Section 23 of the act.

The pricing issue was due to a system error and an SKU print error, not the fault of anyone at the store. The price change occurred overnight, not allowing the staff members enough time to make adjustments during a busy day.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Herolled and Vasta for their excellent customer support and understanding in resolving this matter. I believe Herolled, in particular, deserves recognition for his outstanding service.

I plan to return to the store, and while I appreciate Herolled’s assistance, I also believe he should be rewarded appropriately. His display of exceptional quality in an entry-level position suggests that he is deserving of advancement to a corporate or office-level role, should he continue to work with such dedication.
