Complaint regarding staff conduct and security camera access at Markham Retail Store

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with the service I received from a staff member at the Markham Retail Store located at Kathu, Northern Cape, yesterday around 5pm. Date 19 September 2024.

While shopping at the store, my phone was ******. Upon reporting the incident to the staff, I requested access to the security cameras to assist in identifying the perpetrator. However, the staff member refused, stating that accessing the footage would cost 15K upwards. I did not ask for his name because I was emotional but he was the only one wearing a ZCC star badge and I can personally identify him.

I find this response unacceptable and uncooperative. As a customer who has fallen victim to theft within their premises, I believe it is reasonable to expect assistance from the store's security measures.

I kindly request that you:

1. Investigate this incident and the staff member's conduct. 2. Provide me with access to the security footage or cooperate with law enforcement to aid in recovering my ****** property. 3. Review store policies to ensure customers receive necessary support in similar situations.
