Toyota Culemborg cannot wash oil of an engine to fix a oil leak

When picking up my land cruiser bakkie from the 180 000km service yesterday, they informed me that there was an oil leak on my engine but that they did not fix it because I first had to go wash the oil and dirt off the engine so that they could see where the leak is coming from then come back to book it in again to have that fixed. I was shocked that a Toyota dealer cannot wash a bit of oil and dirt of an engine in order to fix a oil leak on said engine, apparently they only basic service work but when your car actually needs a professional to fix something like an oil leak, you have to go elsewhere to get it washed first, so might as well go elsewhere for evreything!
