Beware of a man called Bouille Reyneke.
Beware of a man called Bouille Reyneke who purports to be a financial services professional. He has de*****ed a lot of people (many of them retired elderly) of tens of millions of rand. Currently, there is a ******** case being heard against him. One of the businesses he used for this purpose was called The Market Minstrel, until this business was liquidated and Mr Reyneke was sequestrated in his personal capacity.

He has ruined the lives of tens of individuals; many of them elderly people who entrusted their life savings to him and now have very little or nothing to live on.

21 Feb 2025, 05:56Ten months after being found guilty by the High Court, the court has now passed down a sentence of an effective 15 years imprisonment for Bouille Reyneke. He is now serving multiple sentences for ***** concurrently.

GAUTENG - Bouille Reyneke (57) has been sentenced by the Palm Ridge Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Thursday, 20 February 2025 for *****, contravention of Section 11 of the Banks Act, Act 94 of 1990 and contravention of Section 7 of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Service Act, Act 37 of 2002.Reyneke has been attending court since his arrest on 30 October 2019, after a case against him was registered at Sandton police station in March 2018. He was charged for multiple counts of ***** in contravention of Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act. The case is in respect of investment ***** to the value of just over R3.4 million, where Reyneke approached the complainant and peached an investment proposal. He convinced her to invest into his entity Market Minstrel for a fixed period of time with promises of between 11 and 12% return on investment.When the fixed period expired it became apparent that Reyneke did not invest the funds but instead used the money for his person benefit. The Hawks’ investigation also uncovered that Reyneke was not registered by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) as per the requirements. The accused who was convicted on 17 April 2024, was found guilty on various counts of investment ***** and was sentenced to a total number of 23 years, however the sentences have been ordered to run concurrently meaning an effective 15 year jail term.
