Dealership can't find fault with a car that didn't turn on for 5 days

I bought a brand new Nissan Qashqai last year. It has about 15,000km on the clock. My dad, an Ex BMW Master Technician, was driving the car last week Thursday. The engine management light came on and the car lost all power. It was towed to Mark White Nissan. By Monday they still couldn't get the car to turn back on and they had no idea as to the problem. Today they tell me I can take my car back because they can't find anything wrong with it. Not good enough. What if this happens again? What if I am driving with my 7 year old and it loses all power on the highway. I want a detailed report as to why this happened!!

My problem is still not resolved, but the Manager called me and they are doing all they can to resolve the situation. I will get a full diagnostic report and my vehicle will be driven by one of the team for a long period of time to see whether the same issue happens again so I am satisfied. I have also been advised that the factory is involved in resolving this issue.

Hi Louise

Thanks for your comments. We are indeed trying all we can to figure out what happened to that vehicle, and will duly report back as soon as we have some useful news.
