Very unprofessional, unreliable, home maintenance - Marius Barnard Maintenance - BE WARNED!

In March 2020, I commissioned Marius Barnard to renovate my rental townhouse.

Amongst other things, he was to purchase a new steel bath & replace the old bath; repair the leaking & broken toilet; repair the leaking sink (which was leaking into the cupboards below); repair the sliding security gate; retile the lounge & passage with procelain tiles.

This was to be done on an urgent basis as I had a new tenant moving into the unit at the beginning of April 2020.

After about 4 months, the bath began to show signs of rusting. Despite my numerous requests to Marius to sort out this problem, he refuses to do anything about this problem. My husband has been left to fight with CTM Clearwater in this regard.

The porcelain tiles that were laid by Marius are full of welding marks.

The toilet is leaking & has been for months.

The sink is still leaking into the cupboards.

The sliding security gate had to be re-welded by my husband because it wouldn't close & lock properly.

Marius insisted on instant deposits & payment. I immediately paid all his invoices.

Despite Marius' promises to sort out these problems, he has not bothered to do so. I don't think he knows what latent defects are.

He clearly does not have a high standard for his work nor does he know anything about customer service.

I am truly sorry I ever employed his services. BE WARNED!!!
