Back-dated levies

<p>Throughout my almost 2 years of living in Burgundy Estate, I have had nothing but disappointment in the property administrators - Marite Property Management. From the *********** rude staff, to the inaccurate statements, to the joke-show of an annual budgeting process, to the exhorbatant maintenance charges which are audited adequately... this has been the last straw.</p> <p> </p> <p>My levies and rates statement suddenly showed a charge of R300 as back-dated levies from Mar-Aug 2016. When I queried this (being very upset), I was bul**** and told the 'HOA can increase levies whenever they want'. Now I understand if the levies are meant to increase, but if my statement shows a random number for levies which MARITE neglected to charge me in prior months- I should not take the fall for this additional costs or their bad invoicing system.</p> <p>One of the administrators told me a mail was sent, which I actually never received.</p> <p>To add further, I was told that this was decided recently and app**** to all homeowners as the levies increased - but it does not make sense as this increased levies amount was not included in the Budget 2016 which we voted and signed for in 2015. </p> <p> </p> <p>I have tried to query this almost daily and received no response. The staff are ignoring me and carrying the charge forward from Aug 2016 until now.</p> <p> </p> <p>What do I do from here? </p>
