Feedback on My Recent Experience at Marie Stopes, Ghandi Sqaure
Dear Marie Stopes Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I recently booked a tele-******** on Women's Day at your Ghandi branch. The nurse assigned to me was satisfactory. However, I feel compelled to raise some concerns about my experience, particularly during my visit to your Ghandi branch to collect the pills.
Firstly, I was struck by how much more friendly and approachable the security guard was compared to the receptionist. Although my interaction with the security guard was brief, it left a more positive impression than the reception I received inside the clinic. Given the sensitivity of the situation, this was quite alarming for me, especially as this was my first ********. I was feeling scared and nervous, and the receptionist's lack of warmth and friendliness only heightened my anxiety. The receptionist did not even greet me—I had to initiate the greeting myself.
I chose to visit Marie Stopes because I believed it would be a safe and supportive environment, especially considering the stigma that surrounds ********. To be met with what felt like hostility while exercising my ***ual and reproductive health rights, particularly on Women’s Day, was deeply disheartening. ******** is a part of family planning, and the decision to go through with it was not easy. Motherhood should be a choice, and those making that choice deserve compassion and respect.
I am unsure if the receptionist's behaviour is typical. Still, as someone who was already experiencing a sensitive and vulnerable ordeal, I would like to request that your staff, particularly the receptionist, demonstrate more empathy and compassion towards clients. This is especially important considering that this was a paid service, although I would hold the same expectation even if it were free.
