confused information

I bought a wax heater at Marica Salon Specialists. When I received it I switched it on to melt the wax as there were no instruction with the heater. Then after an hour the heater went of and I realised there's a one hour timer and every hour for 8 hours of the day I have to switch it on again. The special on there website did not indicate this one hour timer at all. Now they don't want to refund or exchange the heater for me because I used it. But how should I have know there's a 1 hour timer if I didn't used it. It didn't state it anywhere. They told me I should have asked. So then next time(there wont be one) when I buy a gas lift chair, I should ask, do I have to lift this chair every hour? For just in case there could have been a 1 hour timer? I have a 2minute uv lamp also. But it doesn't switch off after 2 minutes, it only gives me a signal. <br> This wax heater is the most unpractical heater and I have to buy a new one now.
