A Very dissapointed and frustrated Bonitas member.

I would like to express my absolute dissatisfaction and frustration with Marara Pharmacy and the level of service they provide to Bonitas members.

For months, my family and I have experienced ongoing problems receiving our chronic medication on time. Unfortunately, because Bonitas effectively requires members to use this provider for chronic medication benefits, we have little choice but to continue dealing with a service that consistently fails to meet even the most basic expectations.

This is now the second consecutive month that I have not received my blood pressure medication when I was supposed to. Last month, the delay was so severe that it nearly resulted in a hospital admission. Despite numerous complaints and requests for assistance, I am still waiting for a manager to contact me. The complete lack of accountability and urgency is unacceptable.

To make matters worse, my sister experiences the same ongoing problems with receiving her diabetic medication. These are not optional medications or minor inconveniences—these are life-sustaining treatments that people depend on every day to manage serious medical conditions. Delays in supplying chronic medication can have serious health consequences, yet neither Marara Pharmacy nor Bonitas appears to appreciate the severity of the situation.

What is particularly frustrating is how quickly Bonitas and Marara Pharmacy act when payment is due or when money is owed, yet they repeatedly fail to fulfil their own responsibility of ensuring that members receive their medication on time. Every complaint seems to be met with little more than an apology. Unfortunately, apologies do not lower blood pressure, manage diabetes, or prevent hospital admissions.

Bonitas should seriously reconsider its choice of service providers. Members pay substantial medical aid premiums with the expectation that essential healthcare services will be delivered reliably and professionally. Based on my experience, Marara Pharmacy is failing its patients, and Bonitas is failing its members by allowing these issues to continue without meaningful intervention.

I am deeply disappointed and concerned that it may take a serious medical emergency before anyone takes responsibility. If I or a member of my family suffers harm as a result of these repeated medication delays, I will have no hesitation in pursuing every available avenue to hold the responsible parties accountable.

A very disappointed and frustrated Bonitas member.
