Definitely not a home away from home

My partner and I booked this place only because the ad said PRIVATE. The ad stated there would be a private pool and jacuzzi on the premises. The ad said nothing about there being more than one cottage on the premises or that the landlord lived on the property. Upon arrival, the landlord showed us around and said that because we booked for the pool and the jacuzzi that the other couple who checked in minutes before us would not use the facilities just to find them in both the jacuzzi and the pool within the first hour ! The landlord literally walked around guarding us the whole weekend, not only during the day but also at night. This made us feel like kids who were under supervision. Both couches in the lounge are ugly and old, you can literally feel the wood through the couch while you sit! The bed in the main bedroom is rock hard and kept me up all night! The jacuzzi does not even get hot, it is literally luke warm. The host himself is not very welcoming and should not be in hospitality. He is clearly in this just for the money. Upon arrival the fridge wasn't very clean yet we had to pay a cleaning fee of R250 which is was never mentioned to us before. There is hardly any parking on the property, you all literally have to squeeze in. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This was one of the worst places I've ever stayed in.
