Breach of Contract

I was working for Maponya911 Ambulance under a contract of one year which started on the 1st of May 2017 and supposed to be ending on the 30 April 2018..now the problem is the closed down the base without any valid reasons on the 31st of July without even giving us notice. I tried to ask them what is exactly going on and the answer was they're having financial problems. But my concern is I am still under their contract and when I ask them to retrench me they said they can't... And now I can't afford to pay my debts and I am going to get a bad name under creditberue. Please help
