Non-existent Mall Security
Security at the mall is non-existent, my mother who is pensioner was kidnapped and ****** over R25k plus other valuables. When we went to the centre management to view the footage the security officials did confirm that pensioners were targetted at the mall and the management did nothing about it. My 79 year old mother is suffering from post traumatic stress which has had huge impact on the her health and sleeping conditions. I'm really disappointed that even after acknowledging the incident the centre management done nothing to even show symphathy to the family or my mother. We're now faced with an irreversable situation at home that has had a huge bearing on my mother's health. As a huge mall in the heart of Soweto we expect for Maponya Mall to have a conducive enough environment for our parents who are on pension to be safe to shop and run their errands. Clearly the Centre is only concerned about making profit without making sure the customers are safe.
