HIGH WATER BILL YET NO ONE STAYS THERE

Why are we pay so much for the water bills? Is the metering of the water even read each month. Last month (Feb) I got a water bill of R200 +, and now the bill is close to R500. My problem is that, at the moment there is no one staying at the property now and no one is using water at that property but the water bill is so much. Do these people check the water meters at all before they send out bills. Why should I be paying so much but there is no one at the house and non of the water has been used. This is really pathetic to an extent. Mangaung is ripping us off really.
