Wheel chair " too heavy" child not allowed on flight

<p>A team mate who is in a wheel chair was not allowed on the flight that the team was booked onto, as his wheel chair was too heavy. This is a child, travelling with a school team. He was not allowed to board the Mango flight and his ticket was not refunded. This boy is now stranded in Johannesburg right now, while the rest of the team in is the air, coming back to Cape Town. SAA say that their vehicles for transporting wheel chairs do not operate on a weekend. The charge for sending the wheel chair to Cape Town in cargo will be R12000.00.</p> <p>This is how Mango and SAA treat a disabled child.</p>
