TREATMENT OF PENSIONERS- MANGO AIRLINES

My complaint is about a Mango flight from OR Tambo to George - Flight ref RTDCBH.

I was asked to assist 2 x elderly family members by taking them to the airport and assisting them to get on the flights. Both was assisted passengers. Mycomplained is two fold: 1. I was told by the pensioners that they paid R6215.24 for their flights. Being a regular traveler myself the cost sounded exorbitant and I checked the dates and flight details myself online, realizing that the flights for the period and time is about R3300.00 for two travelers. It was clear that these two pensioners were overcharged. We have been trying to get answers from Mango to give us a breakdown of the cost without success. 2. When arriving at George airport, both these elderly people were not assisted as no wheelchairs were available. They had to walk from the entrance of the building, picking up their bags and then outside to arrivals, despite prior arrangement made.

It is important to note that they are both in their 80's and the one traveler does not have proper sight. Further one of them hasn't flown in more than 50 years and the other has never flown. They attended their only grandson wedding. What I disappointing experience Mango Airlines both from a cost and efficiency perspective. It is a disgrace that elderly people has been treated in such a manner.

This was probably their last flight they will ever have.
