Travelling with a child

Last month I traveled with Mango airlines with a 3 month old child. The baggage allowance for a child is only 10kg. I had a pram and a car seat with me but was told to check the car seat in and take the pram to the aircraft doors. Since I already had a bag packed of 10kg the car seat was charged as over weight luggage at R45 per kg. No other airlines charges for a car seat. <br> If the car seat is included in the 10kg thats already 6kg gone, an empty bag weighs about 3kg, so how am I suppose to pack the bag and stay within the weight limit. <br> There is no option of the website to pay for an extra car seat like sports equipment, so the only option is to pay the R45 per kg.<br> This makes travelling with kids expensive and i would NOT recommend this airline to any body with kids. All other airlines are more helpful. <br> Since this happened I have also sent 8 emails to try get an answer and only received one reply saying I needed to pay.
