Requiring phones to be turned off is not an international standard

Mango has a great in-flight magazine and their fares include checked baggage. However, I have an issue with the fact they require phones to be fully turned off, which is a policy I've never experienced on other major world-class carriers. It causes staff to fight with passengers and puts everyone in a bad mood, plus they start enforcing it a long time before touch down. Mango, please go back to international standards on phone use - it will be great for staff, for passengers and for your brand. Thank you!
