Poor Mango Airlines Experience

I had a truly bad experience flying to Cape Town with Mango from JHB on the 31st of March (Flight JE151) and also flying back to JHB on the 8th of April (Flight JE174).

Firstly, I was supposed to board at 16:05 on Saturday the 31st of March. I got to the queue, only to find out that the flight has been delayed with 25 mins (we were told that the airplane is late from George). Then, a couple of minutes later, an announcement was made which said that the new boarding time is 18:55 (the time that I was supposed to land in Cape Town was 18:45). I then decided to go to one of the airport lounges and get comfortable. What can one do otherwise with such a tedious delay? As I ordered my first beverage at the lounge, another announcement was made that said that the boarding time isn't 18:55 anymore and that there is currently a Mango airplane available. You can imagine my frustration at the time because this is extremely unorganized behavior from Mango's side.

My second bad experience with Mango was with my flight back from Cape Town on the 8th of April. Luckily, there weren't any delays, but as I got home in the evening, I noticed that there were two items missing from my checked-in luggage, and that one of the cable ties were cut open. The two items that was taken was a USB flash and my iPhone charger. Although the value of these two items weren't that much, I decided to try and report this to Mango later in that week. I tried to call Mango Airlines and also email them, but I have yet to receive any feedback.

I will never fly with Mango Airlines again.
