pathetic service

We are from CT and due to heavy traffic on the road from Sun City we arrived at 1:30pm and the flight was at 2pm. We had hand luggage and no check-in luggage, however the Duty Manager refused to assist. What kind of customer service do you offer...this is a definate no no for any future Mango travelling....
