Mango delay

My daughter was returning to UK in the 1st Jan from CT via JHB . Her flight was delayed and in turn she missed her connecting and landed up in JHB after 21:30 . She asked for assistance from SAA as Mango and Lufthansa was already closed . They could not assist with accommodation or information . Luckily , we found family available that had not gone away for the holidays , to accommodate her for two nights until they could reschedule her . I am horrified to think that she would have been stranded as a young woman all by herself .
