Mango breaks 'fragile' goods

On Sunday 03 April 2016 I flew from Lanseria to Cape Town international airport with Mango airlines at 08:55. I was transporting two well-packaged sculptures. Mango staff advised sending it with the fragile goods is the ussual and safest mode of transport - large 'fragile' stickers were stuck all over the pieces.
On arrival in cape town i recieved the one piece broken in five, in spite of it being made from fibreglass reinforced resin - it must've taken way more than just a knock.
On informing Mango of what happened via email, they rep**** with an apology as well as a refusal to give any compensation, as machines and conveyer belts do a lot of sorting of luggage and goods, so they feel wear and tear as well damages are to be expected. I rep****, saying I should have been informed of this BEFORE, in which case I would have opted to take them as hand luggage. I also dont understand the purpose of fragile stickers if even fragile goods are handled by machines and conveyer belts, and not by people. I feel Mango has refused to take responsability for pure negligence that resulted in irreplacable damage to a R4900 sculpture. As expected, they never rep**** back, and its been a week now.
