Mango Airlines pass the buck

This is regarding flight number JE284 from Durban to Johannesburg. My parents were on this flight which was delayed for an hour and a half and which took off at 19:15. The original time of departure was 17:45.

Due to this delay, my parents missed their connecting flight from Johannesburg to Cairo with Egypt Air at 19:45, flight number MS840.

This left them stranded at the airport with no access to the Mango kiosk as they were closed. They had to thus fund their own accommodation for the next two nights.

Having phoned all the customer care lines that night, not one was answered.

The entire trip to Cairo was forfeited because of this delay, an amount of over R30 000, to which I received a generic template reply, clearly dismissing the issue.

A lack of accountability, and passing the buck gets you nowhere.
