Mango Airlines non cash refundible during National disaster COVID 19 in SA

I booked a flight to Cape Town with Mango airlines on the 16 February 2020 for the 25 April 2020 as my family and I have been planning a holiday 19 months prior to this to Cape Town and we finally got a date that suites us. Due to the unforseen circumstances that our country is experiencing now in regards to the COVID 19 virus, the President declared a national disaster, we decided to cancel our holiday. Rather safe than sorry. I called Mango airlines today the 18 March 2020 and asked them to please cancel my flight and give me a reimbur*****t due to circumstances out of my control and they told me that they could only give me a voucher.

I then went on to explain to the lady that I would prefer money back because I do not know what the future holds, she said no. Mango is not considering us, we don't know what the future holds we need to have cash in case things go wrong. A Mango Voucher is not going to help us in times of need, we never knew this was going to happen when we booked, so why should we be held responsible for something that is totally out of our control and I am canceling more than a month in advance. Surely big companies like this should have more sympathy for us consumers who work hard for our money.

Mango Airlines please understand the situation we as a country are in, this will not only effect us physically but FINANCIALLY as well, nobody Knows what tomorrow holds and like I was arrogantly told over the phone it is in your terms and conditions, but please understand the terms and conditions were not accepted when country was declared a National disaster.
