Mango airlines, Durban

Never in a million years did I ever think I would witness such malicious behaviour. From an individual who aught to be modelling a sense of professionalism and respect for self and those around them. It starts as I was standing in King Shaka airport at the Mango Airlines check in counter. I was minding my own business when all of a sudden, a male who was later identified as the manager of the Durban branch, Vegeshen Pillay started shouting and belittling a female staff member infront of us as the customers. He could not even wait for the customer who was being served by the staff to leave the counter. I was truly appalled at all this as I felt it could have been handled better. Most especially when the man started mentioning that the staff members behaviour would "mess with his bonus". I was shook. And further threated the young lady with disciplinary action Is it because she was a female that she be spoken to with such malicious and callous speech? I definitely felt ambarrased, disrespected and abused on the lady's behalf. I do not have any respect for the man, when he could have addressed the matter differently. And mind you, this is all happening at a time when South Africa is facing a great pandemic and outcry against women and children abuse. And at Mango Durban it is so easy for the manager to belittle the female staff in this manner. The calabra of the people you employ in senior positions is atrocious and this man has tarnished your airline's reputations in ways unimaginable. To reduce a fellow staff member to tears to the point where she could not even speak to the lady who apologised and tried to console this young lady as she too had witnessed the shocking behaviour take place before her eyes. Where is the professionalism?? Where is the teamwork and the respect? As long as this man is not dealt with or the lady staff treated in a better manner, I will not be supporting Mango Airlines.
