Mango airline only care about money - left student stranded at the airport

Good day I just wanted to enquire about what I experienced earlier today at O.R Tambo . I was booked in a flight to Durban, departing at 19.15 and arriving at 20.25 . I got to the airport on time , I was told that my bag was too heavy and I needed to offload it which I did and thereafter proceeded to pay for the excess luggage , before leaving to pay I was not told that I had to come back to the check in station to continue the check in process of my bag , it was not communicated with me and it was my first time , I paid what I had to pay and left , I boarded on the flight and got seated . Right before the plane was due to leave I was told that my bag was not checked in and therefore I needed to leave . I asked and suggested that I leave with the plane and have my bag fly in the next day however I was told that my bag was in police custody and only I can go retrieve it so I was forced to leave . When I got to the check in station my bag was merely pushed to the side , it was not within police custody and at this point I’m stranded at the airport with no where to go . When I asked to speak to the supervisor to get some help because I’m stranded now with nowhere to go , instead of coming to me and speaking to me she had me speak to her over the phone and unfortunately I didn’t get her name, she told me that there’s absolutely no way to help me and that I need to wait for the next flight which will be the next morning, she told me that regardless of what happened I will have to yet again on top of the flight I was told you get off from and the R660 excess luagge fee that I paid and provided proof of payment for , I will now need to get pay for another flight .

The whole situation was highly stressful as a young female with no where to go , the way the situation was treated lightly with no urgency or care was very upsetting, the fact that as passengers we are assumed to know exactly how things work instead of being informed is highly upsetting
