Fly Mango if you have personal insurance

I have been flying for years and baggage tempering was just a foreign term to me, until i flew Mango from George to ORTIA. My bag was searched and items of my clothes ******. I immediately contacted Mango and they offered to pay for missing items, however since clothes don't have much weight they can only pay me R140.00 ridiculous..., my privacy was Violated and the items ****** have a value more than R1.6 and Mango will pay me R140? On top of that i had to send Affidavits, copy of ID and bank statements for less than 10% of the Value of my items? I was ****** by their employees and i am not getting anything to compensate for that?

When i queried further they tolde to claim from my personal insurance.... They can keep the R140.00 which is an insult I'll keep my money for flights far away from their MANGO.
