Difference between OR Tambo and Cape Town

I booked a return flight from JHB to Cape Town on Friday 4th and return on Saturday 5th of May. The service that I had received from the OR Tambo staff, specifically Gugu Mnchunu was incredible. My husband did not reliese that his drivers license had expired and he didnt have his id on me, but she patiently and kindly assisted me in getting a copy of his id printed with no hassel. The service from the inflight staff was warm and welcoming. The service that I had received from the Cape Town staff, was unacceptable. Upon check in, I was told that we are on standby (??? what the hell) and I jokingly told the gentleman "death by overbooking" and he said yes, we do overbook. Then once we were assigned seats, amidst some phone calls to take us off the standby list... we then went to board. We waited for 45min before we were told that the flight (departure 17:45) was gonna be delayed and we need to go "downstairs to gate C - not to sure which number, but we should be able to see the signs"... we went downstairs, then waited till 19h30 to board the plane. But once on the plane, we waited whilst the flight crew were running up and down... Eventually , the pilot comes on and thanks us for his patience and he will explain "later what plans we had to make to be able to move"... once in the air, the pilot explains that due to the weight of the aircraft, some luggage had to be left behind... "if you bag is not at OR Tambo, then your bag will still be in cape town, speak to the Mango staff on ground"... not even a "sorry for the inconvienance"; i called today as i wanted to redeem my voucher for the delay in flight, but had the phone dropped in my air three, yes THREE times before i was helped with a discount of R 250.00pp for my next flight... yeah, right?
