Delayed flight moved back to original time without notification/missed flight

I'd like to know why I was notified that my flight was delayed, I arrived at the airport an hour before my flight only to be notified that boarding is closed and I missed my flight. Mango staff informed me that the flight had indeed been delayed but that it had been moved back to it's original time and I was not notified of this. I had to wait for the next flight.
