Damaged luggage, Terrible Service, No Replacement
I flew CT to DBN JE342 11 May 2015. During this flight my luggage was severely damaged: suitcase open in 3 places. This begun very long frustrating process that is yet unresolved.
I reported the damage at DBN ref D11831. Replacement suitcase issued has a broken zip so not fully functional. Bad.
I tried to follow up to collect repaired luggage: Email address printed on the passenger reference slip was not a functioning.
On return journey via JHB airport 7 June I went directly to JHB Mango baggage services to request my suitcase be sent to CT airport where I'd collect on arrival. Woman on duty claimed to have telephoned DBN baggage services: assured me firstly suitcase had been repaired and secondly that it'd be sent to Cape Town to be there by my 8.15pm arrival. Arriving in CT I reported to Mango baggage services desk 8.30pm and they knew nothing of suitcase. Man on duty telephoned Mango Durban baggage services who claimed to have received no phone instruction from JHB earlier & knew nothing of my suitcase.
It is 41 days since damaged suitcase and no reparation. I demand at very that I immediately be issued voucher to choose suitable replacement suitcase in Cape Town.
