Customer service at Cape Town airport

My husband damaged his shoulder during a cycle race in CT yesterday. His friend helped him pack his bike and things to help him get to the airport. He can't use his one arm. The bike is heavy & he can't manage on his own. He tried to get an earlier flight so he can get to a dr. They told him @ check in that they have no other flight than his @ 18:00. He paid for the VIP lounge as part of his ticket. They would not allow him to check in so he could go to the VIP lounge until 4. I find this absolutly shocking customer care. His friend is there to help him get the bike checked in as the staff @ Mango will not assist.(we have done this before). Then he has paid for the VIP lounge but not allowed to go and he has to wait for over 2.5 hours until he can check in and then only go to the VIP lounge before his flight @ 18:00. I am very disappointed with this type of service. He is now left on his own at the airport to struggle with his bike bag & luggage. He is in pain and can only use one arm. His GP feels that he could have a compressed fracture but he has to come back to JHB so it can be attended to otherwise he is not able to fly home if he is treated in CT. What has happened to compassion and understanding. This is shocking MANGO Airline Cape Town.
