Baggage Theft - Mango JE267

It is with great annoyance that I have to sit and type this message however I'm left with no choice as I have to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction.Yesterday I flew on Mango flight JE267 from OR Tambo to King Shaka departing at 1735 due to arrive Durban at 1845Hrs. Firstly the flight was delayed by more than 30min upon arrival in Durban and waiting for my luggage I noticed that the majority of bags that were on the conveyor had been opened / tampered with which prompted me to pay special attention to my bags and indeed the cable ties which I had used to seal the bag had been removed.

Upon inspection which I did there and there items from my bag had been ******. Two colognes to the value of R2200 had been ****** namely 100 Ml Gucci Guilty and 100 Ml Givenchy black.I reported this matter to the baggage counter at King Shaka and this is what really infuriated me was that Mango only pays a flat rate per kilo of R140 in the event of theft and in my case the bag was 1Kg lighter , this is utter nonsense. This incident made me regret the argument I had with a friend who refuses to fly Mango where I labeled him as unpatriotic for not supporting the national carrier.

Bonga
