Bag Tampered into, all valuables ******!!

On the 11th of March, my parents were travelling from OR Tambo Inetrnational to King Shaka International. My dad is disabled and my mum had to push him with a wheelchair. They dropped their bags at at 12.15pm and proceeded to the boarding gates. There was a delay in the flight JE253 and they departed later than scheduled. My parents are in their late 50s and dont travel often at all. They had just come up for my husbands birthday. My mum had all her jewellery in her suitcase and the suitcase was locked. They reached King Shaka and due to my mum having to push my dad in the wheelchair, she only noticed that her bag was tampered with when she had reached home. She called me and wwas hysterical, I contacted Mango and reported it and they said there was nothing they could do. We reported it and the case was transferred to King Shaka. We were told that they did not find anything at King Shaka. I then contacted ACSA at OR Tambo and was given the run around and eventually managed to get a booking to view the footage. We viewed the footage and the cameras were not in constant view of the luggage. I was then asked to contact Aubrey at Bidvest, as he is the one that conducts the investigations and to date have not received any feedback. I am appalled at the service and the manner in which this has been handled. My mum is heartbroken as the jewellery was sentimental, some were given to her by her parents and some that she had worked very hard to purchase them. I believe that Mango should take some responsibility knowing that they have dishonest staff and do something about this as this is really not acceptable. I do believe that we are not the only ones that have had to experience loss but the airline attitude of "we cant do anything about it" is definitely not what we want to hear. Take responsibility for this happened on your watch, Mango Airlines! This has caused my mum to become ill and despite our efforts to get feedback, nothing has been done and I think that is totally unfair. This happened at the airport, my parents are both not working and this for my mum, is losing a small fortune as it will be very hard to replace. The value of the jewellery is almost R200K. Can someone tell me if this is fair? For an old person to lose that much, at their age and no-one is willing to help even with a proper investigation? NO! I dont accept this! And this platform is the first of many others that I will be using to make people aware. Maybe then Mango, you would take notice when people dont want to use your airline anymore even if you run as many specials as you like!!
