MPD do not take customer for a ride
I brought a clutch kit from MPD Pinetown for a MG6 car and in less than 3 months the clutch broke not burned it broke, I took it there but the company refused to give me a new one telling me that it was damaged by the way the person drive??. I only use this car maybe 4 times in a month and for about 4 kilometers only I have about 7 cars and it is a shocking statement and undermining the consumer Act of South Africa. This part got guarantee and the fault was not with me or the what.
Iam asking MPD management to replace this clutch or Iam going to to proceed to consumers protection Act of South Africa, about this and I have already email the TV program about consumer act.
Iam not asking for a favour Iam asking them to do the write thing and not talking customers for a ride.
We sent the mentioned clutch to two different clutch specialists for assessment (one in the Durban area and one in Pretoria area). It was of their professional opinion that the clutch was damaged due to driver abuse. Furthermore from the photos you provided us of your flywheel there was no proof that this flywheel was skimmed as required. (This you will have to take up with the workshop who fitted the clutch who invoiced you for skimming of the flywheel which was clearly not done.) We have however offered you a new clutch at a discounted rate to assist you but we have not heard from you since.
