Unnecessary delays and poor communication

The Research journey has proven to be the most frustrating one due to delays in processes and poor communication from this institution. I am currently in the ethical clearance application stage. Submitted end of September and only got feedback end of October. I was provisionally approved and had to submit permission letter to conduct data to get full approval, I did that on 31 October, 3 weeks in and I still have not received feedback on the progress. I have contacted both student services department and the human research ethics sub-committee team to find out how long this will take, and received no response. It is taking the team 3 weeks to review a permission letter and provide feedback. All in all, we are finishing 2 months still in this process - and I have only received feedback once.

At the end of the day, I will be required to pay again for an extension should I not finish on time. I have also had other delays with them, not because I had to do corrections, but simply because they would sit with the work and not provide feedback.

It does not look like they have students' interest at heart, at all.
