If I could give Mancosa 0 stars, I would. I am battling to get assistance with a very serious matter. I am a student with an 80% average in the final year of studies. I have received a mark of below 40% for my Capstone project, with comments such as I have exceeded the page count (when I have proof that the supervisor approved a 45 page report for 2 students, despite the page count being 40 pages) and the marker decided to stop marking my paper at page 40. In addition to this, the marker marked sections of my work as incorrect and incorrectly formatted, when it was formatted / structured according to the research report example PROVIDED BY MANCOSA. I am extremely agitated and disappointed with this as I have worked incredibly hard for 3 years now, and have not failed a single subject whilst managing to maintain an average of 80% with 17 distinctions - do you think that a person who has achieved this can possibly obtain a mark of less than 40%? I have sent screenshots pointing out how the process is fine for some but not for others, and how my report is structured in the same manner as their report example (which is 52 pages long, might I add) but I get told that is just your mark and it will not be re-evaluated? So your lecturers can make up requirements as they go along then? 40 pages for some, 45 for others? And you are agreeing that your guides are useless and mean nothing since if a student follows them they get told their work is wrong? This is utterly disgusting and I will not settled for you turning a blind eye to unfairness, inequality and lack of principle and adherence to processes. Please have senior management contact me because this is a serious matter which directly impacts my future.
