08 Apr 2026, 08:33I would like to raise a formal complaint regarding what I believe to be an unfair academic outcome and the lack of clarity around my module result with Mancosa Institution.
I have been advised that I failed the module because I did not meet the required 50% combined assignment mark. However, my final module mark reflects 53%, which, according to the overall pass requirement, should qualify as a pass.
I find it extremely unfair that I am now being required to repeat the entire module despite having achieved a passing final mark. This has directly affected my eligibility to graduate at the upcoming graduation ceremony, which is both deeply frustrating and emotionally exhausting.
As a full-time employee with other responsibilities, having to restart an entire module places significant pressure on me. In addition, my company had already paid for my bursary, and I am now being forced to cover the cost of repeating the module out of my own pocket.
Furthermore, I have already incurred additional costs of 4 x R250.00 for other modules due to previous assignments that had to be resubmitted. This has become financially draining.
I am requesting that this matter be urgently reviewed and escalated to the relevant department, as I believe the decision is unfair and is negatively affecting both my finances and my graduation prospects.
I would appreciate urgent intervention and feedback on this matter.
