Re-Register- a Money Making Scheme!

I totally regret ever registering with this institution. It’s my first time studying in a private institution and I regret it every single day. I’m forced to re-register two modules since I “failed to meet subminimum”. Never mind that I’m only short of 1% to me this subminimum and had a challenging academic year due to ill health, the institution made me seat for examinations, they sent a personalised timetable stating the modules I was to seat for and the dates. I took leave from work and sat for examinations (passed all of them), all my final marks are above 50%, only for MANCOSA to tell me I wasn’t even supposed to write the examinations in the first place. I must re-register the two modules despite scoring over 50% final mark.

I’m devastated, disappointed and angry. I’ve studied with two public universities before, and if you didn’t meet the DP, they would notify you and deny you access to exams. But MANCOSA?? Nope, was only made aware of all this when the results came out. That time I’m studying through a corporate bursary and my fees were paid in full beginning of the year. Now I need to reimburse my employer and still pay my fees to re-register.

What a ****!! I honestly hope and will tirelessly fight that my employer pulls out on this institution. They are amongst the most expensive, yet offer the poorest service.
