Mancosa violated my human rights
I am a Mancosa student studing PGDPM and i was writing my supplementary on the 08-07-15, i was feeling very sick and i had running stomach, and i went to the bathrooms and when i came out of the bathroom the two invigilator (male & female) was standing outside the toilet door, they accused me of talking on the phone and the said i was speaking xhosa and the white lady invigilator said to me that i know you black people you go to the toilet to copy.I told her my cellphone was off and i told her that i was terrible sick and i asked her if is possible for me to go to the doctor and write the exam later she said i must ask the exam manager in Drbn and she gave me her own phone in her presents to ask the exam manager if that will be possible. The exam manager said i must re-register and pay the full amount of the module if i will not finish the exam today. The invigilators told me to restart my exam and i asked them if they will extend my exam time and they said no then, they said to they can't as they also want to knock off on time and they concluded that i must continue writing.i got sms that my supplementary results are out and after paying the money, im told that i was disqualified
MANCOSA is attempting to contact Mrs Moloto to resolve the complaint. It is appreciated that writing examinations is stressful. It is important to MANCOSA that students can write their exams in a context which adheres to academic standards, examination rules and respect for both the student and the invigilators.
