MANCOSA is worth it.

I have completed my PGCE through Mancosa. Some of my classmates felt that the service rendered by this institution was inadequate. I personally think they have unrealistic expectations. My experience of Mancosa has been filled with challenges, difficulties and sometimes, frustrations. This is normal for a university. Unlike the public universities which I attended, Mancosa has proven to be versatile, malleable, cooperative and responsive. Every hurdle was overcome. If you expect perfection from your tertiary education, you have been misled about what is possible. An institution cannot be flawless, it should be judged on how effectively it manages its challenges.

I also have to add that I received a quality education. I had teaching experience going in to this program. From the outset it was really only a procedural necessity for SACE registration. However, I now find myself being a better teacher. This is not some **** PGCE; it is tough, enriching and expansive. It was worth every cent, and every frustration.
