MANCOSA does not care

My experience has been dismal to say the least.

Studying towards my MCom, MANCOSA allocated me a research supervisor whom never responded to any communication. Finally after receiving a change in supervisor (half way through my studies) and already many submission behind due to this delay (and COVID-19).

I then requested an extension for my due date, not for months, but merely seeking a 1 month extension (4 weeks). I was then asked to provide supporting evidence on the lack of communication and my how Covid has effected me - to which I responded.

After having a positive change in supervisor, a few weeks later he too stopped communicating and has left me in the dark and unable to continue with my studies, all while I am nearly 2 months since my appeal for a one month extension with no response but an automated email sent to all students saying that the MCom course does not provide extensions - you must pay R20k if you wish to continue.

What a joke!

I do not recommend this institute to any academic wishing to study further! Turn around and run the opposite direction! You wont regret it.

The communication and administration at MANCOSA is **********. They do not care for their students.

I am still pending any communication further after countless dropped calls, many follow up emails and much frustration.

Run! Do not study here!
