Do not waste your time or money!!!

Dear Mancosa, I am a Honours of Educational Leadership and Management student and I am frustrated, dissapointed, sad and angry. I have made many attempts to contact the University as well as through my research supervisior with no joy.

In semester 1, I recieved very low marks for my assessments and after chatting with other Honour students I realised I was oned many. I know the quality of my work and I do not believe that I am a 50% average student. Aside from low marks, the marks were released a few days before the assessments which did not in any way set me up for success but rather mentally exhausted me. Ironically our Academic Literacy assignements were based on such factors that hinder a learners ability to successfully learn. Whilst this is a post graduate course, I paid for academic support and guidance not an inbox flooded with emails and videos that are useless. The lecturer was extremely boring and deviated from questions regarding the assessment which also did not prepare us for the assessment. I feel as if we are part of the trial and error phase since we are doing new modules with no past year papers and everyone including the lecturers seem confused. If you would like to confirm what I am saying please watch all the recordings. I would like my assessments remarked as I have seen a trend in the low marks accross. Mancosa is not the cheapest institute and for the fees that I have paid,I expect proper support, structure and communication. I recently got back my marks for an assessment and I received a 49% with comments that do not make much sense or align with the rubric. I resubmmited after correcting the assignment according to the suggestions and I was given a 50%. I refuse to accept that mark and now that I have done my own research about Mancosa I am certain that something is wrong within the institution and I am one of many students who feel the same way. I have tried calling many times and it seems I have a better chance of getting through to home affairs. I am writing on Monday and the Mancosa app still says that I failed the Module, all of these factors play a big role in the success of a learner. Ironically, Mancosa as an institute is a clear example of poor leadership and management in educational leadership and the results of students emotionally and academically is evidence.
