Disappointing service from Mancosa

I have had an incredibly disappointing experience with Mancosa regarding their handling of fees for my honours degree. While I understand that I am responsible for paying fees for subjects I have completed. However, I cannot comprehend why I cannot get refunded for subjects I have not yet completed. My studies that was paid in full without hesitations.

I have contacted Mancosa multiple times since 18 October 2024 to inform them of my changed circumstances. When I initially registered, I had just been retrenched, and I was fortunate enough to secure a new job. However, my new position is demanding, requiring much of my time and focus, making it difficult for me to continue my studies as planned.

Despite my proactive communication with Mancosa, I have yet to receive a solution. Their response has been inflexible, and I am repeatedly told that I am liable for the full course fees. To make matters worse, Dacian, the consultant, refuse to let me speak with higher management or provide me with their contact details, making it impossible to escalate my concerns or find a solution. Their service is disgusting—Mancosa was quick to assist and guide me through the enrollment process and to secure my fees upfront for the year, but they are now unwilling to consider my situation.

It feels unfair and disheartening to be forced into a situation where I must either continue and risk failure due to my time constraints or pay for subjects I have not even attended. I believe institutions should support their students, not just during the enrolment stage but throughout their learning journey. With understanding and flexibility when life circumstances change. This experience has left me feeling frustrated, unsupported, and disappointed in Mancosa. I would never recommend anyone to study at Mancosa as the handling of my matter and lack of empathy for my situation has placed them in a total different view.
