Assessment Results for Economics 1B

This communique serves to express my frustration with the outcome of my results for Economics 1B. I was approved to sit down for Exams even though I failed to submit an assignment on time which now seems to be a problem. My Query is that why must I repeat a module where my exam mark is 83% and the final mark is 66% as I believe the passing mark is 50%. Why was I approved to sit down for exams knowing very well that the non-submission of the assignment will fail me anyway? This whole saga is frustrating because I worked so hard for these exams under the circumstances of this Covid 19 pandemic resulting from studying under stressful situations of not having any Lecturers from Mancosa. I had to hire a private tutor to avoid failing any module to avoid losing the bursary at work. Please see the response from *** regarding my query. As per the email from ***, the restriction on meeting entry criteria to the online summative assessments was removed due to Covid and to accommodate students in my situation. I guess hence I was granted the opportunity to write the Exams regardless of the status of OSA. I humbly request that this matter is re-looked at and my results for Economics 1B be rectified accordingly
