Pitiful Food at Exorbitant Prices

We were there last night celebrating our daughter's 21st birthday. The food was pathetic, bland, sour and completely overpriced. We ordered the calamari for our son, it was dry and tasteless, the lemon butter sauce which was microwaved curdled and it was obviously from a very old batch. We also ordered the seafood platter to share, the pineapple and salad shavings were off, the seafood was dry, bland and tasted weird. I was too embarrassed to say anything because I didn't want my daughter to feel bad on her birthday. The sushi was thank goodness OK but still completely overpriced and underwhelming, we get better sushi at ocean basket. I would not recommend Mamasamba to anyone and will be adding a review on Hello Peter. It is absolutely absurd that in today's economy restaurants are getting away with this kind of quality or rather the lack thereof. It definitely stings to pay a bill of R1800 and walk out feeling completely gutted. Huge disappointment and so sad that it happened on such a special day.
