Mall of Africa - security risk, lack of response, car break in and theft.

This complaint is with regards to the incident that occurred on 18 November 2022 between 18:55 and 19:46. My car was broken into at the parkade below the Game entrance and my climbing bag with all its contents was ******.

I noticed the bag was missing when I arrived home around 20:00 on 18 November at my home in Sunninghill, and drove back to the same parking at Mall of Africa.

I was assisted by one of the security personal who called the supervisor (Stanley) to assist. I was told by security that there is a camera in the ticket machine that was facing my car, and they would be able to look at the tape to see what happened. I was taken to the security office to fill in statement and was told to report the incident to the police before that could tell me what they see in the video footage.

I have reported the incident to the Midrand Police Department and a case has been opened. I was told by the police officer that incidents like this occur often and that video footage story told to me by your security is not true.

Upon looking at the Google reviews for Mall of Africa, I came across a review that was from the same day where someone's laptops was ****** at the Woolworth parking. This is shocking to me, because the security did not seem to be aware of such incident and I was not told that a similar incident occurred during the day.

I am still waiting for feedback from MoA security on the footage they say is available and a response from MoA.
