Mall of Africa Security

This is my third time being harrased by security while i am waiting in the car for my family. We have never been at the mall for more than 30min when it comes to quick shop runs.

What makes this unfare is that they are rude and often use curses and they sight rules that no one knows about.

They essentially told me, that i am welcome to go in and order a coffee or basically leave the mall and come back later.

Their reason is that they are trying to prevent vehicle crime. When I nicely ask the gentleman to get management since he is acting under their order and he cant produce something tangible to backup him forcing me rudely to leave he then got aggressive.

I have called mall management before and the story they put to me was very different than the claims of these security people. In fact it was the opposite. Essentially they are not allowed to chase you out of the mall, here we are you have very aggressive security carrying guns blocking my car and interfering with my family as they approach the car.

In my mind, an Indian guy and a White guy carrying guns picking on a lone black man bothering no one in his car waiting for his family hardly warrants this sort of treatment.

I am interest in hearing what mall management has to say about this since they were not available a few minutes ago to straighten this out, like the previous two times.

When I call, they ask me to identify the security guard by name and other identifying information so that they can deal with them, however, security does not introduce themselves, they come ready for a fight.

Am more than happy to never come back to Mall of Africa and spend my hard earned cash if i am being profiled and mistreated this way.
