Mall of Africa a danger to young children

<p>After a visit to the Mall of Africa on Sunday 16/10/2016 I was horrified at the lack of concern or foresight for children’s safety. Walking down the wide passages or store fronts I noticed at each of the atriums are several pillars supporting the structure. Each pillar has a 220v female three prong plug point, only 300mm above the floor. Not one single plug point was sealed or made childproof! In fact I found one plug point (Fed from DB S2.3.1 Service section CB47) was damaged and had live wires exposed, a mere 300mm from the ground, right at a child’s reach height.</p> <p> </p> <p>I cannot believe a brand new mall of this magnitude or Atterbury Properties, who own and manage this mall, can be so reckless in not making their electric plug points child safe. Mall management were not available to take my complaint as it was Sunday.</p> <p> </p>
