DISGUSTING SERVICE -MALAICHA.COM

Due to the crisis in Zimbabwe, coupled with the global pandemic which has resulted in lockdowns, there are unprecedented cases of starvation in Zimbabwe. For those families with members living in the neighbouring South Africa, their hope is that the members will send down some food. Since the beginning of lockdowns in both SA and Zimbabwe, most people have been left without choice but to buy groceries online, on malaicha.com with the hope that it will be delivered immediately and save families in Zimbabwe. It is ridiculous that we placed two orders going to one person on the 23rd of April 2020 and today is the 5th of May 2020, the orders have still not been delivered. According to their records, both orders were dispatched on the 27th of April and they claim that only one was delivered and the other one is pending. Nothing was delivered at all. When they called the recipient, she was not at home, she was at a funeral and they said they could not go and deliver the goods in her absence as they wanted to confirm by seeing her ID and also make her sign to acknowledge receipt of the order. Since then when we call their offices in South Africa, we are pushed from pillar to post and all efforts are futile. We have called their SA offices more than 20 times, spending more than 10 minutes on the phone, losing airtime, and yet the people do not care. When we request to speak to the manager, we are told we have no right to speak to the manager, the consultant will escalate the query to the manager who will call us back. We have been waiting for the manager to call us back for the past days and wonder how long it takes make a call. Every time we are told, the manager will call back shortly. Our people are starving in Zimbabwe, yet we have paid for an order two weeks ago, why do we have to go through this? It is totally unacceptable and we are looking for the options we have in terms of our rights and will escalate this to the responsible government departments to investigate the operations of Malaicha.com . The establishment is taking advantage of our dire situation which is morally wrong, unacceptable and disgusting. I will leave no stone unturned in addressing this. They block access to their authorities. Why do customers deserve to go through this as if, we are getting the food for free? This is not a gratis service, it is a service that we are paying for and deserve better service.

My sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We are experiencing a large number of deliveries during this time. This increase in volume has extended the time period that it takes to get orders delivered. Please, provide me with your contact number and we will call you to resolve your delivery.
